Description D’ Angelico LHNM “Low Riding” Roundwound Bass String Set 45/105 D’Angelico “Hot Nickel” bass strings are made with highly magnetic steel wrap wire for volume and brilliance, with a thin nickel plating added to baby your frets and your fingers. D’Angelico “Hot Nickel” is considerably louder and brighter than pure nickel! Low riding strings are built with a thin segment od string which rides low and tight in the saddle of the bass. This thin portion brightens the tone of the string and increases the tension (which is especiallyhelpful for the low B string in a 5 or 6 string set). Installation: For a proper installation  make sure to raise your saddles or the string will ride too low, causing fret rattle. Also move each saddle back or forward to intonate the perfect harmonic at the 12th fret.
