A good solid tone emanates from the instrument, with power and projection and a musical ability that is not always present in Australian builds. I find Jim’s guitars musical most of the time, where this one supersedes anything I’ve heard previously from him. She is a typically heavy Australian build, lattice braced, laminated cello-ed back with a built-in armrest. Very pretty back and sides. He’s changed his plantilla and dimensions a shade smaller, with a touch less weight overall. This as compared to 10 years ago. It works, as the guitar really has quite a bit of drive, while being a great player. One of his better examples, is my summation. There are no issues, or any evidence of play wear on this guitar. Check that, I found a very light nail mark on the top by the treble side of the neck, which is difficult to see. I polished and buffed her a touch, where she’s gleaming. Essentially brand new looking at a good discount. Setup professionally, I found the guitar to play quite easily, driving her as I wish. Brand new, $15K, we are asking $13K. Thanks and don’t hesitate. We record everything flat with just a touch of Reverb to relieve dryness. My goal is to record the guitar as realistically as is possible. My speaking also serves to give you my first impressions and to also give you a balance of the engineering (or lack thereof) versus the sound of the guitar.
